JOHN SARCONE

 

John Sarcone grew up the son of a police officer.  Not long after John’s father retired, he passed away. John took it upon himself to work two jobs to help support his mom and young siblings.  He worked full time for Metro North and as a clerk, all while completing his bachelors and law degrees, graduating with honors.

 

John understands hard work, determination, and commitment.  This is at the center of what John believes in.

 

John Sarcone is a real attorney, proven advocate, and has the experience we need on the New York’s State Supreme Court.

 

John and his wife, Cecilia, live in Croton-on-Hudson with their three children John Anthony (17), Francesca (16) and Juliet (13) who all attend Croton Harmon schools.

  • Admitted to the bar of the US Supreme Court, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, the US District Court (EDNY and SDNY), and the State of New York.

LEADERSHIP

 

  • Appointed and Served as the 14th Regional Administrator for the United States General Services Administration for New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
     

  • Earned the Administrator’s Exceptional Service Award in 2020 for excellence in customer service, innovation, leadership, mission results, and cost savings.
     

  • Led COVID-19 Regional Rapid Response in NYC to mobilize necessary resources to supply hospitals with PPE and coordinating the safe operation of federal and US court buildings.

  • Saved taxpayers TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS through sound planning, streamlining services, and creating more efficiency. 
     

  • Advocated on behalf of well owners and small businesses to obtain a 10-figure settlement from ExxonMobil/Sunoco for groundwater contamination in the Town of Highlands, NY and helped the Town’s first municipal water supply.
     

  • Has resolved several union disputes and represented union members on internal and external matters.
     

  • Serves as General Counsel to one of the largest police and security unions in the country and to The Association of Commuter Rail employees representing more than 7000 NYS MTA workers.
